What the role involves

This role sits at the heart of our operations, supporting our teams across all sites and making sure we meet the standards expected of a modern renewable energy company.

You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager and project teams to keep our policies up to date, run site inspections, lead training, and make sure we stay compliant with all relevant EHS regulations.

You’ll also help build a culture where safety, responsibility, and environmental awareness are part of everyday work.

What you’ll be doing:
✅ Keeping our EHS policies current and practical for day-to-day operations
✅ Carrying out site inspections and internal audits, and guiding teams on corrective actions
✅ Leading risk assessments and reviewing method statements from contractors
✅ Delivering training, toolbox talks, and site inductions
✅ Managing incident investigations and reporting requirements
✅ Staying current with regulatory changes and coordinating with relevant authorities
✅ Monitoring environmental impacts and supporting sustainability initiatives
✅ Keeping accurate EHS records and preparing reports for management

Qualifications:
✅ A degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
✅ NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar certification (or working toward one)
✅ 3–5 years’ experience in EHS within the construction sector
✅ Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations
✅ Confidence leading audits, assessments, and incident investigations
✅ Good communication skills and the ability to work with teams at every level
✅ Solid organisational skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach
